Prevent Development Officer - Communities Department

Making a Difference
St Helens Borough Council seeks to appoint a Prevent Development Officer to join the Community Safety Team. The key responsibilities include the local development and delivery of training, awareness, and programmes to support the objectives of the national Prevent Strategy, which is part of the wider Government CONTEST Strategy.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues within the Council, Police, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to activities that reduce harm and risk to individuals and the community. Building and maintaining a network of community contacts to improve Prevent delivery is central to this role.
If you have experience in a related service area, possess excellent communication skills, and are eager to work in a multi-agency environment, this role offers flexible working options and the opportunity to contribute to the local Prevent Action Plan.
This position is subject to a DBS check.
