An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a fully trained Production Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical hands-on experience to join a growing and highly respected organisation within the food manufacturing industry.
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to perform planned and unplanned maintenance and breakdown repairs across a range of high-speed production equipment. You'll play a key role in ensuring that engineering downtime is minimised and production targets are consistently met.
A strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to maintenance are essential, as is the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and keep production machinery running efficiently.
Requirements
1. Time-served engineering background, ideally within the Food, Dairy, or Beverage manufacturing sector.
2. Proven hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical systems.
3. Strong communication skills, especially during breakdowns and decision-making processes.
4. Flexibility and a continuous improvement mindset—always looking for better, simpler, and more effective solutions.
5. High levels of commitment, energy, and a customer-focused approach to internal service.
6. In-depth understanding of production processes.
