About Us
Fortitude School is a small, nurturing SEND Alternative Provision primary. We specialise in supporting children with a wide range of needs including autism, global developmental delay, and social, emotional & mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Many of our pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 continue to access the EYFS curriculum due to their developmental stage and individual needs. Our ethos of courage, compassion, and empathy underpins everything we do – ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and able to thrive.

* Using communication strategies such as PECS, objects of reference, visuals, and intensive interaction
* Supporting children with personal care and regulation needs
* Working alongside teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans (ILPs/EHCP outcomes)
* Promoting social skills, independence, and confidence in everyday activities
About You

Enthusiastic, patient, and resilient
Passionate about supporting children with SEND and early development
Able to use (or willing to learn) PECS, Makaton/Signalong, and other communication tools
Confident in supporting children with personal care and sensory needs
A great team player with strong communication skills
