Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on HR professional to run the HR function end-to-end. This standalone role reports to the Managing Director. You will own recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, IT user access, health and safety record keeping and general office operations. This role suits a practical operator who turns policy into action and enjoys variety.


Key responsibilities

* Manage full lifecycle recruitment, right to work checks, onboarding and leavers.
* Maintain employee records, employment contracts and HRIS data integrity.
* Lead absence management, performance reviews and employee relations case work.
* Process payroll runs, manage payroll inputs, perform month-end reconciliations and respond to payroll queries. Manage pension administration and HMRC reporting. Support year-end payroll audit requests and liaise with auditors.
* Coordinate learning and development, appraisals and KPI set up.
* Manage visa sponsorship and provide administrative support to expatriates.
* Own health and safety record keeping and basic H&S administration.
* Run general affairs, including office suppliers, lease administration and fleet liaison.
* Manage HR IT, and systems: user access for HR systems and core IT accounts, coordinate with IT vendors, and support basic MS Office and systems queries.
* Produce regular HR reports for senior management and HQ, and support annual headcount and budget planning.
* Review and update company policies and the employee handbook.
* Liaise with HQ and European HQ as required.


Essential experience and skills

* Minimum CIPD Level 3 or equivalent and at least three years of HR experience.
* Proven UK HR operational experience in an SME or similar environment.
* Strong commercial mindset and ability to prioritise competing tasks.
* Practical payroll experience, including month-end reconciliations, pension administration and HMRC reporting, with experience supporting year-end payroll audits.
* Hands-on experience with HRIS administration and user access control.
* Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Desirable

* Korean language skills.
* Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and with SAP Concur or similar expense systems.
* Exposure to Companies House filings and insurance administration.
* Project management experience.
