J P Engineering Services is a growing engineering startup at the forefront of industrial prototyping and automation. We don't do "business as usual." We tackle unique, complex problems for our clients, creating bespoke solutions from the ground up. We're a small, agile team, and we're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to become a core part of our journey.
What this role is really about:
This isn't a role where you'll be stuck on one project for months. You will be a key player in the entire engineering lifecycle. One day you'll be brainstorming a new automation concept, the next you'll be designing it in CAD, and the day after that, you'll be in the workshop machining parts, wiring a control panel, or testing your creation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Designing and developing mechanical systems, components, and prototypes using CAD software.
* Getting hands-on: building, assembling, testing, and iterating on your designs in our workshop.
* Collaborating directly with clients to understand their needs and challenges.
* Sourcing materials and components for projects.
* Adapting on the fly to solve unexpected problems and meet project deadlines.
