A respected civil and environmental consultancy is seeking a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to support development projects across the South East. As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will prepare Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies while remaining closely involved in planning and regulatory approvals.
This Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer role combines hands-on SuDS and drainage design with client liaison and multidisciplinary collaboration. Flexible hybrid working is available, with a strong base in the Guildford office.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
* Design SuDS, surface water and foul drainage systems
* Produce designs using MicroDrainage and AutoCAD
* Ensure compliance with UK planning policy and standards
* Liaise with clients, planners and project teams
Candidate requirements
* Minimum three years' flood risk and drainage experience
* Strong understanding of UK planning frameworks
* Proficient in MicroDrainage and drainage design tools
* Clear communicator with solution-focused approach
* Able to manage workload independently
