Roles and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the successful delivery of all BAU Technology and Voice tasks.
* Play a key role in the successful delivery of IT relocation projects, conducting full audits and preliminary works promptly and to high standards.
* Manage hardware inventory, monitoring stock levels constantly.
* Handle hardware requests and receipts via our internal ordering system.
* Monitor the ticket queue and manage requests through to completion.
* Maintain housekeeping in IT rooms.
* Support events such as annual Power Down, including post-desk checkouts (PCs, monitors, mouse, keyboard, desk phones, headsets, webcams).
* Assist with hardware decommissioning events.
* Support business moves and changes, participating early in planning stages.
* Manage escalations to resolution.
* Set up and install temporary training rooms and office-wide events like expos.
* Perform comms room patching.
* Support hardware requests for remote work.
* Adhere to policies and guidelines regarding overtime and expenses, ensuring cost control.
* Manage workload to meet SLA/OLA targets.
* Provide high levels of customer care and support a customer-focused service approach.
* Coordinate support across service lines for comprehensive customer support.
* Engage in continuous service improvement initiatives, taking ownership of resulting actions.
* Perform basic troubleshooting, system upgrades, and replacements for employees.
* Deploy equipment for new hires and manage refresh and offboarding equipment.
* Assess user requests and recommend technological solutions.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
* Work outside regular hours and participate in weekend work as required.
* Image/re-image computers, configure IP phones and mobile devices.
* Work independently and as part of a team.
* Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Possess knowledge of Windows OS, applications, and hardware.
* Collaborate with support groups across multiple platforms.
* Use help desk call management systems effectively.
* Have a technical understanding of Microsoft, Networks, Security, WAN, and LAN platforms.
* Industry certifications like MCSA, A+, Network+, CCENT, CCT are a plus.
* Scripting experience (PowerShell, Perl, CMD) is advantageous.
* Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
* Understanding of ITIL Service Support and Delivery methodologies.
* Focus on excellent customer service.
Experience:
In a similar role: 4-6 years of relevant experience.
