Position Overview
Do you enjoy working one-to-one with children with Autism? Aspire People are seeking experienced teaching assistants to support children with Autism and related challenging behaviors. The role involves encouraging, motivating, and supporting children within the classroom to access the curriculum effectively and bridge learning gaps.
The school in North Birmingham has recently received funding and is looking for talented SEND TAs to work on a casual or full-time basis for the remainder of the school year.
The children you will support may exhibit behavioral difficulties and low-level disruptions. You should be able to engage with them, keep them focused, and demonstrate patience and understanding.
Ideal Candidate
* Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning (preferred)
* Long-term experience (a term or more) working one-to-one with children
* SEN experience, specifically with Autism
* Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with children
* Passionate about working with SEN children and helping them achieve their targets in line with their IEPs
* Knowledgeable about SEND and dedicated to supporting children's development
