The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at University Hospital Monklands.
To assist with the planning, organising, and controlling of all activities within the catering department and associated areas, in accordance with Trust requirements. The successful candidate will supervise staff, review staff rota/wages/training, and handle cash.

What we'll need you to bring
* Good standards of Literacy, Numeracy, and Practical experience
* Understanding of Manual Handling, Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety, HR policies, and Absence Management
* Experience in a busy Catering environment
* Ability to work shift patterns
* Flexible attitude
* Calmness under pressure
* Excellent personal appearance and willingness to learn
Please note: a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required where applicable.
It would be great if you also have
* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
* City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or SVQ level 2 Professional Cooking
* Knowledge of Food Safety principles
* Documentation skills
* IT skills
* Cash handling/reconciliation experience
Contract type: Permanent, Part Time, 34 hours. Salary will be pro-rata.
Location: Catering within University Hospital Monklands.
Shift patterns vary: early start at 7am, latest finish at 8pm, covering Monday to Sunday, mostly Monday to Friday, including holiday cover.
