Job Responsibilities
* Design, execute, and analyse laboratory experiments to advance scientific understanding and support drug discovery.
* Apply hands‑on expertise in ELISA/MSD/Quanterix, Western/JESS, flow cytometry, QPCR gene expression, and emerging technologies.
* Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in alignment with data integrity expectations and compliance with all relevant protocols and safety guidelines.
* Effectively troubleshoot assays and, when necessary, develop alternative approaches.
* Work closely with preclinical statistics and other relevant teams to ensure robust study design.
* Present findings to internal teams, stakeholders, and governance in a balanced, clear, and precise manner.
* Collaborate with key partners to design, optimise, and execute studies that strengthen target‑disease hypotheses and provide evidence for GSK translational pillars using human ex vivo samples.
Qualifications
* PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field).
* Work experience in translational science, biomarker development, and drug discovery.
* Disease‑area expertise in hepatology and/or renal disease, including mechanisms and pathways with an ability to apply this knowledge to translational research.
* Hands‑on experience in bioassay development and analysis (ELISA/MSD/Quanterix), flow cytometry, QPCR gene expression, and emerging technologies.
* Experience with human systems using cell and molecular biology, bioassays, and analytic methods.
* Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for the interpretation of large‑scale datasets.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present scientific findings to multidisciplinary stakeholders in a balanced, clear, and precise manner.

* Ability to independently define a strategic approach to tackle specific project or department goals.
* Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
