Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour
Contract Type: Part time (Weds, Thurs and Fri)

About the Role:
As a Post 16 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting both teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will be working with young adults and post-16 students with severe and complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners in Poole.
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing one-on-one support to students, especially young adults and post-16 students with severe and complex needs
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics and encouraging good behaviour.
Prepare teaching materials and organise resources to enhance learning experiences.
Assist in assessing students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and students.
Follow individual care and medical plans, administering medication and supporting personal care needs as required.
Foster student independence and utilise effective communication techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Relevant experience working with young adults in an educational setting.
Understanding of severe and complex needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Relevant qualifications in education.
