The post holder will provide clinical leadership for the Endoscopy service, working closely with the Clinical Director to support the implementation of the Trust's strategy for Endoscopy within an Integrated Care System. The role involves leading the Endoscopy team to ensure key performance indicators – including quality, activity, access and financial targets – are consistently achieved, and maintaining a robust clinical governance framework to guarantee safe, effective, and high‑quality delivery of endoscopy services.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and timely patient care, driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the Endoscopy service. Oversee service performance, patient experience, and innovation in endoscopic practice. Work collaboratively with Gastroenterology and Surgical colleagues, including subspecialty leads, to ensure cohesive service delivery across diagnostic and therapeutic pathways. Provide endoscopy training and education, maintain JAG accreditation standards, and support workforce development.
Oversee endoscopy rota management, including acute provision, ensuring safe and sustainable staffing models across all sites. Manage governance aspects including complaints promptly.
