We provide students with a caring and supportive environment, to help them achieve academic excellence, leadership skills and a love of learning.
Hillmorton High School is seeking applications from an experienced and dedicated practitioner for the role of assistant head of learning area in our Y7 and 8 department. This is a full-time, permanent position beginning at the start of the 2026 school year.
Our Y7–8 team is based within a high school setting, offering the unique opportunity to work across a wide school community while belonging to a close-knit and supportive department. We are highly involved in the sporting, cultural, and arts life of the school, creating rich opportunities for staff to contribute beyond the classroom.
This leadership role involves:
* Contributing to the strategic development and delivery of the Y7–8 curriculum, with a focus on mathematics and literacy.

* Enhancing pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives, including PB4L.
We are looking for an organised, collaborative leader with proven classroom expertise, well developed skills in culturally responsive and relational pedagogy and a strong commitment to all learners within our Y7–13 school.
