This is a fully onsite position in Ashbourne.
Job Description
3. Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
4. Process supplier invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders.
5. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
6. Reconcile bank, credit card, and cash accounts on a regular basis.
7. Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with current HMRC requirements.
8. Process payroll or support payroll preparation (optional depending on role).
9. Monitor cash flow and provide regular financial reports.
10. Support month‑end and year‑end processes, including working with external accountants.
11. Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and statutory regulations.
12. Assist with general administrative tasks where required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Bookkeeper should have:
13. A strong background in accounting and finance within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
14. Proven experience in a similar role.
15. Strong knowledge of Bookkeeping and UK Accounting standards.
16. Professional qualifications in accounting or finance.
17. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
18. Proficiency in financial software and tools.
19. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
20. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
