Role Overview
As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will join a successful Microsoft Gold Partner and accredited Microsoft Expert Managed Service Provider (MSP) within a multidisciplinary development team. You will lead the DevOps team, taking responsibility for defining and implementing the most suitable tools, infrastructure, and build and release processes to support development activities. Working closely with developers, project managers, and Operations, you will drive best practice techniques in Azure to ensure successful delivery of new functionality into production while maintaining effective cost control. You will also identify process improvements, ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, manage certificate lifecycles, resolve infrastructure-related issues, and mentor junior DevOps team members.
Responsibilities
* Lead and take full ownership of ADO administration, including repository creation, management, and ongoing maintenance
* Own and manage build and release processes across both test and live environments
* Create and maintain ARM templates and YAML scripts to support deployment activities
* Define and manage lifecycle processes, including release and branching strategies
* Maintain full ownership of build and release definitions, runbooks, risk analysis, and supporting documentation for integration and production environments
* Administer Azure services, including VMs, App Services, networking, storage, monitoring, and security components
* Perform PowerShell scripting for Azure resource administration and automation
* Manage SQL and Active Directory environments, including users, roles, permissions, policies, and certificate security
About the Candidate
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps role
* Strong expertise in Azure services and infrastructure configuration
* Expert-level experience in ADO administration, including repositories, build and release processes, and lifecycle management
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Azure resource administration
