Commercial Initiatives and Planning Manager
Cometitive salary, £4200 Car allowance, or £3700 cash equivalent, plus full family private Healthcare, 18% annual bonus potential with 27.5 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after 10 years service, and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates

This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our London Farringdon office, with flexibility required in line with business needs.

Are you experienced in Price Modelling or Financial Forecasting, with a background in initiative development or Project co-ordination? Do you have excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills? We need someone with energy, expertise, and ambition to join our Team!

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Planning and Partnerships, this role is responsible for business planning and commercial direction in both financial and personnel areas for the Commercial Directorate, as well as managing the operation and prioritisation, and communication for the Commercial directorate.

About the role
• Working across functions to assess and stress test business plans for attainability and commercial impact, acting as a consultant and key concurrence gateway for the commercial team
• Analyse pricing performance in the Parcels and Retail Letters areas and report strategy recommendations to the central pricing team and Commercial Ops Director
• Work with product and propositions teams and RM Group Pricing and Strategy teams to ensure aligned strategy on performance priorities and optimal product pricing
• Work with product owners, central modelling team and finance partners to influence business plans and forecasts for Royal Mail
• Work with Commercial Ops Director to develop and deploy planning and pricing trials to deliver £7bn revenue, along with profit and volume targets
• Improve costing insight and models to improve yield management

About you
To truly excel in role, you will possess the necessary skills and experience listed below –
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong communication skills, able to engage clearly across a variety of audiences
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes
• Commercial background with an understanding of profit drivers in the carrier market
• Modelling and pricing experience
• Experience at developing yield through trials and small change
• Highly motivated with willingness to take action and own their own performance
• Proven leader with project coordination experience
