An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Lead Pharmacist to work in our Cancer Services team. This is a fixed term position for the duration of 12 months. The successful applicant will join our busy team in providing a high‑quality service to patients receiving treatment for haematological malignancies or solid tumours. You will be supported to further develop your clinical skills within oncology pharmacy practice as well as being actively involved in the management and development of staff within the team. In addition to this, you will be expected to analyse and present financial information, lead/take part in clinical audits and deliver education and training to pharmacy colleagues and other healthcare professionals. There is no on‑call commitment, but participation in weekend working rotas is expected.
Responsibilities
Provide a high‑quality oncology pharmacy service to patients with haematological malignancies or solid tumours. Support further development of clinical skills within oncology pharmacy practice. Actively manage and develop staff within the team. Analyse and present financial information. Lead or take part in clinical audits. Deliver education and training to pharmacy colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
