Student Events and Engagement Helpers
£13.45 per hour, flexible hours
Closes 12 noon, Friday 22 May
The small and friendly Communications, Events and Engagement team at Abertay is looking to recruit Student Events and Engagement Helpers to assist with a variety of events, projects and activities planned throughout the year. The main focus of the role will be helping with major events like Offer Holder Days, Open Days, the Abertay Digital Graduate Show, Graduation, Welcome Week and conferences, but there will also be a chance to get involved in content creation for our social media and digital channels, marketing and recruitment projects, new student onboarding sessions and a range of other work.
There are various aspects to delivering a successful event - from setup to end result - and your input will be invaluable. When we are delivering events on campus you would be involved in a range of activities – from helping with signage around the University, preparing goody bags, badges, registration desks, welcoming and directing guests, answering queries or finding the right person to answer the query, in general being on hand and ready to help. Our Student Events and Engagement Helpers have also assisted us with delivering a range of online events and there will also be opportunities to work on projects led by many different departments across the University, with training provided where needed.
This role offers current students good experience to put on your CV and the chance to be involved in lots of great activities. All our Student Events and Engagement Helpers will be given training, zero-hour contracts and real living wage payment. Some evening and weekend working may be required.
