Health & Safety Advisor – Hartford Care

Responsibilities
* Report to the Group Health & Safety Manager and collaborate with operational teams to meet regulatory requirements.
* Provide first‑hand support and guidance to Regional and Home Managers on all aspects of safety, including fire and food safety standards.
* Act as a Hartford Care champion and ambassador at all times.
* Manage a hybrid role requiring extensive travel across South and South East regions, with nights away and occasional visits to the Central Support office in Basingstoke.
Qualifications – Essential
* Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Internal Auditor qualification.
* Experience managing and auditing all aspects of Food Safety.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Minimum three years’ experience in the Care/Retirement living sector.
* A compassionate and caring nature.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills including IT skills.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* A flexible approach to working hours.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Fire risk assessor.
* Legionella Responsible Person qualification.
* Managing risks associated with the Care sector.
