Overview
We are looking for a Commercial Vehicle Image Engineer to join our growing team in Huddersfield. FMG is the UK’s leading independent provider of fleet incident management and specialist vehicle recovery services. We support insurers and blue‑light services across the UK, Ireland, and Spain.
Responsibilities
* Review and validate repair estimates for commercial vehicles on behalf of leading insurers.
* Assess vehicle damage using documentation, images, and technical data.
* Ensure accuracy in cost indemnification and amend estimates as required.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain clarity and consistency.
Qualifications
* Proven experience with commercial vehicle assessment, estimating, or repair methodology.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proactive and collaborative problem‑solving approach.
* Previous body‑shop estimating experience (VDA with ATA accreditation) or desktop engineering‑based insurance work.
* Experience with commercial motor vehicles and familiarity with all types of damage and repair methods.
* Good understanding of estimating and valuation tools, especially Audatex.
* Knowledge of the commercial vehicle accident repair sector and experience in an insurance or claims environment.
* Highly conscientious, self‑motivated, and with proven problem‑solving skills, delivering exceptional customer service.
* Strong communicator, negotiator, with quick rapport building over the phone.
