Key Responsibilities
Clinical Safety & Governance
* Ensure clinical safety, ethical use, and regulatory compliance of digital health and AI solutions in line with UK and Wales healthcare standards
* Identify, assess, and mitigate clinical risks associated with software deployment and workflow integration
* Support clinical safety documentation and assurance activities (e.g. clinical risk management)
Clinical–Technical Translation
* Translate real-world clinical needs and workflows into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements
* Act as the clinical authority during product design, configuration, and iteration phases
* Provide clinical input on data usage, system logic, and decision-support outputs
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Lead and coordinate local UAT activities from a clinical perspective
* Validate system functionality, usability, and safety against clinical expectations
* Collect and consolidate feedback from clinical users and stakeholders
Training & Adoption
* Deliver AI literacy and system usage training for clinical users, tailored to different professional groups
* Support change management and clinical adoption across healthcare teams
* Act as a trusted point of contact for clinicians during early-stage implementation
Essential Requirements
* Registered healthcare professional in the UK (e.g. Doctor, Nurse, Allied Health Professional)
* Strong understanding of the Welsh healthcare system, including clinical workflows and Wales-specific health data structures
* Formal background or qualification in Health Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Digital Health, or a related field
* Demonstrated ability to work at the intersection of clinical practice and technology
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both clinical and technical stakeholders
* Fluent in English
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting digital health, EHR, AI, or clinical decision support systems
* Involvement in clinical safety assurance, system validation, or governance processes
* Prior experience delivering training or change management in healthcare settings
* Familiarity with NHS Wales digital programmes or data standards
Working Arrangement
* Part-time role with flexible hours
* Hybrid or on-site working in Wales as required by project phases
