Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: London/ South East
Overview: This is a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within a leading independent consultancy, offering the chance to work on major infrastructure, defence, and development programmes across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering robust commercial outcomes, this team is looking for experienced professionals ready to lead packages, guide clients, and support the next generation of QS talent.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead cost management on high-value projects across pre- and post-contract stages
* Prepare and manage procurement strategies, tender documentation and contract negotiations
* Advise clients on commercial risk, change control, and value engineering
* Take ownership of key deliverables including cost plans, estimates, cashflow forecasts and final accounts
* Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring standards are maintained and knowledge is shared
* Work closely with stakeholders and design teams to ensure commercial alignment throughout delivery
* Support project governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement at senior level
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS-accredited preferred)
* MRICS preferred but not essential (support available for achieving chartership)
* Solid experience across both pre- and post-contract phases
* Proven experience delivering projects in a consultancy environment – ideally in infrastructure, defence, or complex building schemes
* Prior experience within a consultancy environment is strongly desirable
* Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts
