Persona Assistant Job Reference 11196 Job Type: Darlington (PA's) A 52 year old Autistic gentleman with some fluctuating mobility issue, ADHD and seizures in the Marske area of Redcar and Cleveland is looking for the right person with patients and understanding to support him. This gentleman has become isolated and is wanting support to find himself again. HOURS OF SUPPORT This role is 15 hours a week to be 3 hour slots over a 5 day period, Monday to Friday. There can be some flexibility to times of support, and this will be discussed more at the interview. Rate of pay: £12.71 an hour SUPPORT This gentleman needs support with various aspect in his life. He needs domestic support to keep his home clean and tidy. He will also needs support to access the community, which he is looking forward to having this opportunity and going shopping. At times he may needs support to put on socks and shoes as he can find bending difficult and painful. There will be support around meal preparation although this gentleman can cook himself support is needed to keep him on track with tasks. ESSENTIAL You must be understanding and patient, be able to give this gentleman time to explain himself. Be a good listener and pragmatic. An understanding of Autism maybe of benefit for a new PA but not essential. Access to a vehicle and car driver is desirable but not essential as this gentleman can use public transport with reassurance and support. The gentleman has a support dog, so anyone who can not be with dogs would not be suitable. Following successful application an enhanced DBS check will be carried out and references.
