We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward-thinking Registered Nurse to join the Pre-Admission Discharge Lounge Team at NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital.
This role involves liaising with wards and external agencies to ensure social care packages are in place prior to discharge.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will carry out simple discharge referrals to external agencies such as Community Nurses and Social Services, and contribute to the wider discharge service. The ability to work autonomously over shifts and interact with patients and relatives in a calm and reassuring manner is crucial.
The post holder should possess a caring and compassionate demeanor towards patients and staff, demonstrate good communication skills, and have a “Can Do” attitude. Prioritizing conflicting demands to meet patient and service needs is required.
We are looking for a Registered Adult Nurse with a First Level nursing degree (or equivalent) as per NMC registration.
