Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 DOE
Shift Pattern: Double Days | Monday to Friday

We're working with a leading food manufacturer in Wrexham that's recently undergone major investment-relocating to a new site and installing state-of-the-art equipment to drive the next phase of their growth. As part of this expansion, they're now looking to bring an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer into their close-knit team.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production running smoothly-reacting to breakdowns, carrying out proactive maintenance, and playing a key role in installations and upgrades across a range of manufacturing equipment.
You'll work closely with colleagues in Engineering, Technical, Operations, and HR to ensure the site runs safely, efficiently, and in line with both Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective, lasting repairs
* Support the installation and commissioning of new production equipment
* Work closely with other departments and external contractors/suppliers
* Promote and implement continuous improvement across the plant
* Keep clear and detailed maintenance records
* Contribute to a safe working environment through strong compliance
What We're Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 minimum in Engineering (HNC/18th Edition with Part P preferred)
* Strong background in maintenance within a food/FMCG manufacturing setting
* Experience working with food processing and wrapping/packing machinery
* Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills (both electrical and mechanical)
* Proactive and hands-on approach with good communication skills
* Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
