Were looking for a highly organised and proactive Group Compliance and Systems Manager to oversee compliance, health & safety, systems and property management across our portfolio of hotels.
This role would suit a current operations manager who enjoys compliance and looking for the next step in their career.
This is a hands-on role ensuring our teams and guests are safe, our systems are efficient, and our standards consistently meet regulatory and company expectations.
Youll take ownership of group-wide compliance systems, audits, and reporting, supporting hotel teams to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
THE ROLE:
Lead and manage all aspects of health & safety compliance, training, and audits across the group.
Oversee and maintain third-party systems such as Shield Safety, Safesmart, SmartLog, and Riskproof.
Manage the logging, investigation, and follow-up of all incidents and near misses, including RIDDOR and food safety events.
Maintain and update risk assessments (including COSHH, fire safety, legionella, and manual handling).
Conduct regular site walk rounds and lead monthly Health & Safety meetings with hotel management teams.
Oversee fire safety across all sites, including equipment, risk assessments, and training compliance.
Ensure all properties meet first aid and safety training requirements.
Manage compliance and safety for the Thermal Spa at the Bedford Swan Hotel, including pool and plant room safety.
Support the setup of compliance systems and policies for newly acquired hotels.
Maintain accurate compliance records and system reporting, including Tevalis and Hub call analysis.
Support system maintenance, implementation and builds, including user management and updates.
THE PERSON:
Has a strong background in health & safety, facilities, or compliance management (hospitality experience preferred).
Is confident using and managing multiple compliance and reporting systems.
Has excellent organisation, communication, and leadership skills.
Can influence and support operational teams to maintain high standards.
Is proactive, detail-focused, and passionate about safety and efficiency.
Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent is highly desirable.
