Overview
The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a full-time or part-time Speciality Doctor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to join the OMFS team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary, with travel to other sites as required.
Responsibilities
* Work within the OMFS team alongside 4 consultants (OMFS and Oral Surgery), 1 Specialist in Oral Surgery, 3 Specialty Doctors, 1 Specialty Trainee in Oral Surgery, and 2 Dental core trainees.
* Provide clinical sessions per week including new referrals, follow-up clinics, treatment under local anaesthetic, intravenous sedation, and general anaesthetic as appropriate, under consultant supervision.
* Participate in a 1:5 non-resident on-call rota (evenings and weekends) with support from a consultant/Associate Specialist 2nd tier.
* Deliver care in collaboration with Orthodontic and Restorative Dentistry services to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
* Based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with travel to other hospital sites as required.

Qualifications
Essential
* Full Registration with the General Dental Council / General Medical Council
* FDS, MFDS, MJDF or equivalent
Desirable
* Completion of maxillofacial trauma plating course
* Completion of SAAD course or equivalent
Experience
Essential
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery
* Ability to operate and work independently while knowing when to consult senior colleagues
Desirable
* Experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or Oral Surgery
