About the Role The successful Tutor will deliver targeted academic support and intervention to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping to close learning gaps, boost confidence, and prepare pupils for upcoming assessments and exams. The role may involve tutoring in core subjects such as English, Maths or Science, or providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs or those requiring catch-up tuition following absence or disruption to learning. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to students' individual needs and abilities. Support pupils in developing subject knowledge, study skills, and exam techniques. Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to ensure continuity and consistency in learning. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and independence. Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must: Have previous experience working in a school or educational setting (this is essential - applicants without school-based experience will not be considered). Hold strong subject knowledge, ideally to GCSE or A-Level standard. Be able to build positive, professional relationships with young people and staff.
