Pulse are now recruiting an experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacy Technician to support Clinical Trials services at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) — one of the UK’s largest, most innovative NHS organisations.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, research‑driven pharmacy team delivering safe, compliant, and efficient technical services across a wide portfolio of clinical trials.
As the Senior Pharmacy Technician (Clinical Trials), you will:
* Support the day‑to‑day running of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy service
* Work alongside Senior Clinical Trials Technicians to ensure safe and compliant handling of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs)
* Assist in developing trial processes aligned with Trust strategies and study requirements
* Ensure all trial activity follows legislation, GCP, and local governance procedures
* Coordinate staffing within the trials area and contribute to workforce planning
* Promote strong teamworking across the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team
* Support training, competency assessments, and development of technical staff
* Maintain safe systems of work including COSHH, infection control, and statutory standards
Oxford Road Campus – Manchester Royal Infirmary (MFT)
🎓 Qualifications & Experience Required
* BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* Clinical Trials Pharmacy experience – full training will be provided
