Deputy Branch Manager – Manchester & Trafford
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Manchester and Trafford Branch for a Deputy Branch Manager. The Deputy Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager with all aspects of branch operations including the Business Plan process (The Wheel), business development, credit, operational risk, administration, financial control, culture (Our Way), recruitment, compliance and regulatory matters.
Main Responsibilities
* People management, leadership, development, engagement and wellbeing of a team of Corporate and Private Banking account managers and Account Manager Support.
* Maintain and develop a portfolio of customers; building relationships with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision of excellent customer service.
* Identify, meet and win prospective new customers/introducers by outlining how we work and what we can offer.
* Collaboratively with the Branch Manager take responsibility for branch operations including the Business Plan process (The Wheel), business development, credit, operational risk, administration, financial control, culture (Our Way), recruitment, compliance and regulatory matters.
* Ensure adherence to the Bank’s credit policy, Responsible Lending Policy, Arrears & Repossessions Policy and all lending decisions in the branch.
* Operate within secured and unsecured lending discretion as awarded.
* Grow and develop branch profitability in a local market by providing effective business leadership.
* Apply Handelsbanken business model, products and steering systems including credit, finance and HR policy.

* Excellent customer service skills and experience successfully developing business.
* Good understanding of the Bank’s credit processes.
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Structured work practice and a strong sense of administrative order.
* Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively.
* Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with impact with people at all levels.
