We are seeking a friendly, proactive GP Care Navigator to join our busy primary care team. The successful candidate will provide a first-class service to patients, helping them access the right care at the right time, and will have previous experience using EMIS.
Key responsibilities
* Welcoming and supporting patients in person and by phone
* Navigating patients to appropriate services, clinicians or self-help resources
* Arranging and amending appointments using EMIS
* Managing repeat prescription requests
* Supporting digital access (online services, registration, forms)
* Ensuring accurate data entry and record keeping
* Working closely with clinicians, reception and admin teams
Essential skills & experience
* Experience working in a GP practice
* Confident use of EMIS
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Able to handle a high volume of patient contact calmly and professionally
* Strong organisation and attention to detail
* Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
