Branch Manager

Location: Brentwood

Contract: Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Permanent

Reporting To: Head of Operations


The Role

Responsible for overall running of the branch, ensuring achievement of annual revenue and profit targets. Oversees Service Supervisor, Maintenance Technicians, Installation Technicians and Administrators to deliver high-quality services while safeguarding health, safety and well‑being of staff and customers. Recruits, motivates and manages the entire branch. Supports sales growth by engaging technicians in lead generation and promoting existing and new business opportunities, while maintaining sustainable margins. This is a split office and field‑based management position.


Staff Management

* Oversee staff recruitment, absences and HR responsibilities.
* Ensure team meets contractual obligations and service targets.
* Support local technicians in meeting customer plant needs and promoting additional services and products.
* Provide training, coaching, field accompaniment, performance reviews and team meetings for Maintenance and Installation Technicians.
* Retain relationships with high‑profile customers, conducting reviews with Business Development Managers/Key Account Managers.


Service Responsibilities

* Monitor and manage profit and loss responsibilities.
* Meet deadlines and customer expectations.
* Ensure service resources are available to meet contractual and ad‑hoc needs.
* Review service routes to optimise profitability per technician.
* Recruit service team to budgeted headcount and provide adequate training and management support.
* Line‑manage installation team and support service supervisor in managing maintenance technicians.
* Set targets and manage performance against agreed KPIs.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, site contractors and environmental instructions.
* Manage relationships with third‑party suppliers.
* Analyse data to reduce risk and inform decisions.


Administration

* Recruit admin team to budgeted headcount and provide training/management support.
* Adhere to divisional health & safety management and risk control systems.
* Ensure adherence to plant passport processes and legislation.


Other Duties

* Perform any reasonable duties that may arise in the course of the job.


Required Experience

* Experience managing and controlling budgets.
* Planning and contingency management for unforeseen issues.
* Capability handling large and unpredictable workloads.
* Business‑to‑business service/customer relationship experience.
* Minimum two years of supervisory or management experience.
* Skillful in motivating people and utilising resources effectively.
* Experience in a similar industry.
