Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Ballymoney require a Business Support Assistant to join their team.
Location : JDLC - Ballymoney
Hours of work : 20 hrs per week - Monday - Thursday
Hourly Rate : 1-12 weeks £ 13 weeks + £
Main Duties :
1. Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
2. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.
3. The post holder will support the management team as required and assist in the delivery of specific projects as deemed appropriate. This may include, but will not be limited to, research and collating of data; ensuring information is prepared and presented in a timely and appropriate method; supporting and managing interdepartmental and external working relationships in a strong and effective manner.
4. The post holder will be flexible to provide cover in any specific duty within the department in support of other members of the Sport and Wellbeing Service Area.

Essential Criteria :
5. Five GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent including Mathematics and English Language.
And
6. Demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of one year's experience in an office environment to include:
7. general administration duties;
8. dealing with the public and responding to enquiries;
9. maintaining filing systems, spreadsheets and databases;
10. handling cash and cash reconciliation; and
11. dealing with confidential/sensitive information.
Or
12. Alternatively, consideration will be given to candidates who do not possess the required educational qualification(s) but who can demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have a minimum of two years' experience working in an office environment in the areas outlined at (a) - (e) above.
Plus
13. A minimum of one year's experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications to include: Excel, Word and Outlook
14. A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
