The Role
As the Bar & Restaurant Host you will be the first friendly face our guests see when they arrive to drink or dine with us. Your role is to create a warm and inviting welcome, guide guests to their tables, manage bookings, and work closely with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service from start to finish. You’ll be an ambassador for our brand, ensuring every guest feels valued and well looked after.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
* Manage reservations and seating plans to ensure smooth guest flow and maximum efficiency.
* Escort guests to tables, providing menus and introducing their server.
* Maintain communication with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded.
* Monitor table turnover and coordinate with the team to optimise seating during busy periods.
* Provide accurate wait times and ensure guests are comfortable while waiting.
* Handle guest enquiries and assist with any special requests or dietary requirements.
* Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the entrance and hosting areas.
* Assist with coat check or luggage holding if required.
* Promote The Reserve’s services, events, and unique experiences to guests.
* Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures.

Requirements
* Previous experience in a host/hostess, front-of-house, or customer service role within hospitality preferred.
* Knowledge of restaurant operations and reservation systems an advantage.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
