About The Role
This role is based in Pontypool Police Station, Pontypool, with a need for travel, hybrid working, and flexible hours.
As a Victim Services & Engagement Officer, you will be:
* Managing a caseload of victims of crime with the highest level of need, both directly through in-depth, 1:1 support, and indirectly by working with other service providers. Undertaking face-to-face support, case-tracking, and management.
* Carrying out effective management of volunteers, assessing their competence to practice using national guidelines.
* Promoting the work of Victim Support by attending local community and public events.
You Will Need
* Proven track record of successfully delivering a service and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting.
* Experience managing a caseload, including complex case management.
* Understanding and knowledge of confidentiality, safe working practices, and legal requirements such as the Data Protection Act.
* Understanding and commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity.
* Experience managing safeguarding issues and relevant legislation.
* Ability to manage, value, and support a team with a strong client service focus.
* Ability to promote the work of a multi-agency hub.
