What you will do:
- Supervise, support and develop designated foster carers, acting as the named social worker.
- Oversee an increased carer caseload, ensuring high-quality practice and outcomes.
- Contribute to the recruitment, assessment and preparation of prospective foster carers.
- Engage in the training and induction of staff, foster carers and prospective carers.
- Uphold all policies and regulations, contributing to the agency's continuous improvement.
- Promote the agency's work to prospective carers and local authorities.
- Participate in the out of hours service on a rotational basis.
- Undertake quality assurance duties, including auditing processes.
- Conduct regular supervisory visits and provide necessary support to carers.
- Ensure compliance with policies and perform unannounced visits and health and safety checks.
- Develop and review Training Plans for carers, addressing their ongoing development needs.
Requirements:
- Social work qualification with at least two years of experience
- Current Social Work England registration
- Experience in fostering settings and direct work with children and young people
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
