2 months contract with a local authority Job Purpose The Interventions Hub plays a vital role in ensuring children, young people, and families receive the right support at the right time. This role forms part of a newly created Out of Hours Support Team within Children’s Services, delivering essential emergency support outside normal office hours. Working across both family support and residential support functions, you will help meet urgent needs and ensure children and families are safeguarded, supported and empowered in line with the Right Place model. Key Duties/Accountabilities Provide responsive, out of hours support to vulnerable children, young people and families in emergency or crisis situations Deliver family support interventions aimed at enhancing parenting capacity and improving life chances for children and young people Offer residential support to children and young people placed in bespoke emergency care arrangements Work closely with other teams, professionals and services to ensure safe and effective care and support planning Maintain accurate records and contribute to case discussions, planning and reviews Operate independently when required, using sound judgment and knowledge of safeguarding procedures Complete the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care within 6 months of appointment Essential Experience Required Previous experience of working directly with children, young people and families Experience of providing support in either a family support, social care or residential care setting Essential Qualification Required Relevant qualification in health, social care, youth work or related field (desirable) Willingness and ability to complete the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care within 6 months Additional information to note Working hours: 30 hours per week Full, valid UK driving licence and sole use of a vehicle is essential Enhanced DBS & barred list check (Child & adult) is required for the role.
