Recommended role for Domestic Couple in Derbyshire

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £60k – £65k gross per annum
Hours:
* Housekeeper: 20 hrs/week, 9am–2pm (flexible)
* Gardener/Handyman: 40 hrs/week, 8am–4pm (summer & winter)
* Days: Monday to Friday
Start Date: Interviewing now to start when ideal couple found
Accommodation: Two-bedroom cottage with courtyard garden. Pets and dependants welcome.
Driver: At least one to be a confident driver (car provided on and off duty).
Role Overview
A professional, experienced couple is sought to manage and maintain a modern 4-bedroom country home and its grounds in Derbyshire for appreciative principal in part time residence. As the sole staff the couple will look after all housekeeping and gardening, general house and grounds maintenance. The couple will also be responsible for security and pet care (1 dog and a cat) during the owner’s absence.

Housekeeper Duties
* General cleaning, laundry, ironing, and fabric care
* Care of polished concrete floors, oak flooring
* Looking after fine art, furnishings, and wardrobe management (including dry cleaning)
* Grocery and supply shopping, running errands
* Occasional preparation of healthy evening meals
* Pet care, including vet visits
* Receiving deliveries and organising rooms/furniture
* Light admin: DVLA queries, chasing insurance/gas certificates, Amazon returns, meter readings, filing

Gardener/Handyman Duties
* Lawn care, mowing, strimming, and general garden maintenance
* Hedge cutting, occasional scaffolding work, woodland care (1 acre with 160 trees)
* Pond maintenance
* Using and maintaining garden machinery
* Arranging contractors for larger works
* General handyman repairs and maintenance
* Gutter clearing, roof cleaning, power washing resin drive
* HVAC and air-conditioning maintenance
* Occasional driving duties, ensuring vehicles are taxed and MOT’d
* House-sitting or pet-sitting when required
