The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to join our online pharmacy team. This role is essential in ensuring prescriptions are dispensed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards—helping us provide the highest level of service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately check and dispense NHS and private prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
* Process prescriptions using our dispensing system and prepare medicines for delivery
* Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory checks
* Provide professional support to patients via phone, email, and online platforms
* Maintain patient and prescription records to the highest standard
* Support the pharmacist in meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements (GPhC, NHS, MHRA)
* Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
Requirements
* GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician (essential)
* Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification (Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a community or online pharmacy setting with strong accuracy checking record
* Excellent knowledge of pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and compliance standards
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Confident IT and pharmacy system user
* Strong communication skills with a patient-focused approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
