Teaching Assistant required for a whole school role in this primary school in Sittingbourne, Kent. This role starts ASAP and is a long term temporary role running through terms 5 and 6.
This Teaching Assistant role will aim to support excellence in behaviour across the school and promote good levels of progress in academic work. It will also provide children with social and emotional support to ensure they have the best school experience. You will collaborate with teaching staff to ensure children are developing in education, understanding and enjoying their learning. You will manage instances of challenging behaviour and work in a collaborative manner with classroom teachers.
Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role is essential.
Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include:
1. Supervising activities in the classroom
2. Managing behaviour
3. Assisting with maintaining a safe and positive environment throughout the school
4. Being alert to any safeguarding or pastoral concerns
5. Support with social, emotional and educational development
6. Working with small groups to support learning
