Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef Opportunity – The Dragon, Crickhowell
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with Chef experience to lead our kitchen, manage our stock, processes & people. Due to the size of our operation, the role also requires "cooking" shifts to be delivered at a "Sous Chef" level delivering services and our menu to our guests.

This role suits someone with some management and cheffing experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, lead an existing team, and be fully responsible for our kitchen and team but not have all the responsibilities of a Head Chef, creating menu's and designing an offering. You must however be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills and some cheffing experience.
The Dragon is set in a characterful 16th-century building full of atmosphere. Our menu features quality dishes made with great ingredients, complemented by classic favourites. Weekly specials created by the Head Chef are essential. The summer months are especially busy due to our large garden and Crickhowell's popularity with tourists, alongside a strong and loyal local customer base and the role is challenging in a smaller than average kitchen.
Applicants must hold at least a Level 2 food hygiene qualification and have relevant experience for the role. References will be required and followed up.
This position includes evening and weekend work, but you will have flexibility in scheduling shifts with your team.
