To help us achieve our expansion ambitions, we are looking for an Installation Operative to join our growing team. If you have experience in civil engineering, the construction industry, or have an armed forces background, and are seeking a career in a reputable business with excellent progression opportunities, this role is for you.
You will be based out of our Bristol branch but will predominantly work on customer sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water projects, with occasional visits to the branch.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Promote and embody the company's mission statement and core values to deliver high-quality installation services across the UK.
2. Install pipework, assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles, and check paperwork for missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
3. Maintain good physical fitness, as this is a physically demanding role.
4. Identify and suggest creative solutions to improve our business efficiency and attractiveness.
5. Prioritize safety, demonstrate confidence and knowledge to halt installations if safety issues arise, and advise supervisors accordingly.
6. Work effectively on client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water projects.
7. Be flexible with working hours and participate in an 'on call' rota, likely 1 in 3 weekends.
8. Travel throughout the UK to various jobs and work away from home as needed.
9. Hold a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
Preferred (but not essential) qualifications:
* Construction skills CSCS card
* National Water Hygiene Card
* Confined space training
* Forklift truck operator certification
* Understanding of temporary and permanent pumping solutions
This role involves working at heights, in confined spaces, lone working, and with sewage.
