Finance Business Partner required for a high-profile UK consumer services group (Hybrid – Basingstoke)
£60,000 – £70,000 + £5,340 car allowance + up to 20% bonus + excellent benefits
We are partnering with a highly regarded UK consumer services group with a strong heritage and ambitious growth plans. Operating across multiple business lines, the company has built a trusted reputation for quality, innovation, and customer focus. Finance plays a key role in driving performance, supporting transformation, and enabling strategic decision-making.
As Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting one of the group’s largest divisions – a business generating around £100m in annual turnover. Acting as Finance Lead for a key product line that represents the majority of divisional revenue, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams to drive performance, challenge assumptions, and influence strategic outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll act as a key commercial partner, providing financial insight, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting decisions that deliver on growth and profitability targets.
Key Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
* Strong background in business partnering, commercial finance, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and collaborate across teams
* Proven experience providing actionable insight and driving performance improvement
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercial mindset
* Experience within insurance sector is essential
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a strategic business partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and commercial challenge
* Lead financial reporting and performance analysis for a major revenue stream, ensuring accuracy and relevance
* Partner with operational and commercial teams to assess product profitability, pricing, and customer value
* Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, driving accountability and informed decision-making
* Deliver variance analysis and recommendations to optimise financial performance
* Provide financial oversight for IFRS17 reporting and ensure compliance with group policies
* Deputise for the Head of Finance, representing finance in senior forums and contributing to divisional strategy
* Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation and data-led insight
The role is based in Basingstoke (hybrid – typically three days per week in the office) within a high-performing and collaborative finance team.
