Job Description

As a Business Analyst, you will understand and analyse user and business needs, helping to ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy. You will contribute to connecting current and future business models and support the delivery of the business architecture. You will challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to develop fit-for-purpose solutions. Collaboration and effective communication with all stakeholders are essential to support design, build, and delivery, working alongside project teams, technical staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
The team
The Business Analysis Service primarily supports the Chief Regulator Group, leading and supporting various critical change and improvement initiatives. Our mission is to empower colleagues through insightful analysis, enabling maximized opportunities, optimized resources, and informed decision-making—contributing to creating better places for people and wildlife and supporting sustainable development.

Experience/skills Required
We’re looking for candidates passionate about the environment and responding to the climate emergency. You should be able to demonstrate:
* Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data and processes to identify issues and opportunities for informed decision-making.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to convey findings and recommendations effectively.
* Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing relationships with project teams, colleagues, and senior management to ensure successful collaboration.
* Project Delivery: Experience in delivering projects within a structured framework, managing timelines and outcomes.
* Requirements Gathering: Experience in collecting and documenting business requirements to meet project objectives.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
* Experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
* Relevant business analysis qualifications.
* Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with the Project Delivery Capability Framework.

There are 3 roles available: 2 permanent and 1 fixed-term contract (until 30th April 2027). We support flexible, hybrid working arrangements and provide appropriate training. The role is based at the EA Office, with flexible working locations. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
