Look no further, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has the perfect opportunity for you to join us as a Team Manager in our Children & Families Team!
Our Children’s Services is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for our children and young people. We are dedicated to creating an environment where social work practice can thrive, where teams are encouraged to be innovative and creative to help improve lives.
As the Children & Families Team Manager, you will lead a small team of social workers responding to, coordinating, and delivering social care services to children, young people, and their families, including those involved in PLO and court proceedings.
You will play a key role in supporting social workers and ensuring high-quality practice, demonstrating strong but compassionate leadership and providing a nurturing environment for practice to flourish.
You will receive excellent support and join a welcoming senior management team.
To be considered for interview, you must:
* Have a relevant social work qualification
* Be registered with Social Work England
* Have substantial experience as a senior social worker or in a management level social work role
* Have a strong track record of overseeing staff and performance
* Have compassion and understanding of the needs of children and families
* Have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and practices
* Be an excellent communicator
We offer a competitive salary from £49,764 - £51,802, a £3,000 annual retention payment, relocation support up to £8,000, 27 days annual leave rising to 32, a generous pension scheme, SWE registration paid, and various employee benefits.
