Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and inspirational leader to serve as Chair of the Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team committed to supporting families and children in their crucial early years.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Board of Trustees, ensuring effective governance and strategic direction.
* Represent the organisation publicly, fostering relationships with stakeholders, funders, and the community.
* Support and oversee the work of the CEO and staff, ensuring alignment with the organisation's mission.
* Champion fundraising efforts and develop corporate partnerships.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with:
* Strong leadership and management experience, preferably in a Board or senior executive role.
* Deep understanding of governance and strategic planning.
* A collaborative style with the confidence to challenge constructively.
* Passion for early childhood, social impact, or community work.
* Excellent public-speaking and networking skills.
* Experience in fundraising or corporate partnerships (highly desirable).

The current Chair, Heather Cunild, is stepping down after 26 years, leaving a strong foundation for the next leader.
