Caroline Gardner Publishing, a leading British design brand in cards, stationery, home, and gifts, is seeking a collaborative and experienced Warehouse Despatch Manager/Supervisor to join our team.
The business is at an exciting stage of growth and transformation. With ambitious plans to expand, we’re building a new warehousing operation to support our future. This role will be based at a new warehouse facility in Banbury.
As Warehouse Despatch Manager / Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders leave the warehouse accurately, safely, and on time. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will take day to day ownership of the despatch function, supervising the picking, packing and outbound team and acting as the first point of escalation for despatch related issues.
This is a hands-on role, balancing operational delivery with people supervision, process discipline and continuous improvement. You will help set standards, embed best practice, and ensure our customers receive the level of service they expect from the Caroline Gardner brand.
What you'll do
* Lead daily picking, packing and despatch for orders
* Prioritise workloads and ensure accurate, on‑time despatch
* Supervise and support a small team, including seasonal staff
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, presentation and customer service
* Work closely with carriers, couriers and Customer Services to resolve issues
* Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with H&S procedures
* Use WMS and scanning systems confidently, ensuring team consistency
* Identify improvement opportunities and support changes to processes and layout
* Contribute to go‑live, testing and set‑up activities at the new site
What skills you'll have
* Experience in despatch, picking/packing or outbound warehouse supervision
* Strong understanding of despatch processes and carrier requirements
* Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced environment
* Confident using WMS with strong attention to detail
* Organised, calm and solutions‑focused under time pressure
* Comfortable in a physically demanding role, including standing and lifting
* Forklift experience is a plus

Role type: This is a permanent, full-time role (start date to be agreed: mid-March/April 2026). Standard working hours are approximately 8.00am–4.30pm, with flexibility to support early deliveries or late dispatch during peak periods, weekend moves or stock transfers.
