This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days a week.
Base pay range
Salary – £13.50 per hour
Hours – 45 hours per week, 6:30-16:30 Monday to Friday
Location – Whisby Landfill, LN6 9BT
As an IBA MRF Operative at FCC Environment, you will play an important role in supporting our IBA (Incinerator Bottom Ash) processing operations. You will be responsible for carrying out plant operative duties, ensuring that safety standards are maintained, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the site.
What will you be doing?
* Carrying out safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment
* Picking materials from the processing line
* Assisting with cleaning and housekeeping of the IBA MRF facility and the surrounding site
* Monitoring the quality of processed outputs
* Moving metals to bulking containers and recording weights accurately
* Supporting general site maintenance, including cleaning drains, litter picking and tidying areas
* Adhering to FCC Environment’s health, safety, and environmental policies
* Working effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth site operations
What are we looking for?
* Hardworking, reliable and committed to safety
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Experienced in operating heavy plant machinery (telehandler, tractor, bowser) – plant tickets desirable
* Familiar with waste processing, landfill or recycling operations (preferred but not essential – training provided)
* A good communicator who can follow instructions and work to standards
* Flexible, with a proactive attitude to learning and improving
