About the role Halfords Commercial Fleet Services (HCFS) is the UK’s largest commercial tyre service provider, formed through the successful integration of Lodge, McConechy’s and Universal, alongside several specialist independent tyre management services. With exciting plans for continued growth, we have recently appointed a Head of Commercial Finance and are now looking for a talented Commercial Finance Analyst to join our expanding team. Reporting directly into the Head of Commercial Finance, you will work across all HCFS directorates to support strategic commercial decisions, drive financial performance, and help optimise commercial outcomes across the business. Key responsibilities Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial data to support planning, forecasting, and performance reviews across the business. Build insightful financial models and dashboards, with a focus on operations profitability, sales performance, stock, and policy adherence. Partner with stakeholders to provide clear, data‑driven insights such as variance analysis, enabling informed commercial decisions. Support quarterly forecasting and budgeting, highlighting risks, opportunities, and areas for performance stretch. Track financial performance by customer, depot, and product, identifying margin‑improvement opportunities and working with operations, sales, and procurement to drive results. Collaborate with Group Procurement and Finance teams to ensure supplier rebates are negotiated, forecasted, and tracked to deliver optimal commercial outcomes. Work closely with Sales to evaluate new business opportunities, ensuring commercial viability, profitability, and robust contract protection. Support the development of business cases that underpin strategic initiatives and performance‑enhancing projects across HCFS. About you You’re confident working with large and complex datasets, with a strong data skillset to investigate, diagnose and resolve data issues. Highly proficient in Excel, ideally with experience using Power Query to streamline and automate workflows. Comfortable building insightful, user‑friendly Power BI dashboards that bring data to life for stakeholders. A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across functions. Skilled in influencing and communicating insights in a clear, compelling way. Able to manage competing priorities and stay focused in a fast‑paced environment. You have excellent attention to detail and consistently deliver accurate work, even to tight deadlines. Desirable: Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, or commercial financial analysis.
