Senior Clerical Officer
We are looking for a well organised individual to ensure an effective clerical support service is provided to our stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities
Provide effective financial business support, including the handling and recording of Council and client fund monies; process manual and computerised financial, client and service information; produce and analyse reports; produce documents including typing letters and reports; process purchase orders; provide basic IT assistance and instruct, allocate and check the work of employees; offer advice and guidance to clerical assistants where required.
Qualifications
Essential: experience in a clerical role with a wide range of support duties, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and databases, ability to work as part of a team and independently, strong organisational and communication skills, customer service focus, self‑motivation, resilience when handling challenging and vulnerable client groups. Desirable: knowledge of procurement systems (PECOS), AIS and Info@Work; previous staff supervision experience; SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent. Successful candidates will undergo a Disclosure Scotland check as appropriate.
